DA Fest 2013 warms up with a summer contest for short video
This year one of the most emblematic autumn events of Sofia – the Festival for Digital Art DA FEST – is to warm up its audience with a challenge for the summer days. The organizers of the festival from the National Academy of Art (NAA), together with Societe Generale Expressbank, partner of the event in 2013, announce an on-line competition for sort-video on topic “Everything is fine when is starts fine”.
 
Everyone studying art in Bulgaria or abroad, as well as everyone who deals with art professionally or as a hobby, is welcome to present his/her short story on the topic. Participants in the competition are free to interpret the topic in the way they wish. In their work they are free to use different ways and means for visualization, such as video, 2D and 3D animation, cut-out animation, stop-motion, etc. A very important condition is that submitted videos shall be author product of their applicant and shall not be previously shown in any way.
 
All proposals for the competition shall be uploaded in the on-line application of the Facebook page “I Love Contemporary Art” at: www.facebook.com/contemporaryartbg
 
Very stimulating are also the awards in the competition. The three best proposals are to divide equally the amount of 3 000 BGN. One winner will be defined by Societe Generale Expressbank as initiator of the competition; one winner will be chosen by the organizers of DA FEST; one winner will be defined based on the number of “likes” of the fens of the Facebook page “I Love Contemporary Art” .
 
The competition “Everything is fine when it starts fine” is open for participation from 01.08.2013 till 26.08.2013 and the voting will take place in the period 27.08 – 02.09.2013.
 
The winners in the on-line contest for a short video will be announced on 10.09.2013 during the official opening of DA FEST.
