The project belongs to the group of the so-called generative art, which uses computer-generated code to create a self-modifying work when a certain behaviour is applied. PixelRain is a self-generating digital picture that simulates a raindrop-like “pixel flow” that draws images which are constantly changing their appearances. Each drop has a different function, size and speed, and together they create an organic hybrid image.
